1.3.2      TS-202 DTMF Generator

The TS-202 generates a DTMF tone to test a commercial inserter or to encode tones onto a videotape.  Prior to sending an individual tone or a tone sequence, you can set the desired audio output level.  There are two modes of tone generation.

- In the SINGLE mode, a one second tone is generated each time a key is depressed.
- In the MULTIPLE mode, you can enter the desired tone sequence and the press the SEND key.  The sequence is then generated in the 50 msec on/off duration used by the cable television networks when they send network cues tones.

The TS-202 will store up to nine tone sequences of up to eight digits in memory for later retrieval.  The last tone or sequence and audio level generated is retained until a new command is entered.  A GPI Interface automatically transmits the tone sequence stored in memory position one.

An internal 600 ohm termination can be switched into the TS-202 output if needed.

An earphone jack is provided to allow the operator to monitor the output tones.
